Account Executive
Own the full sales cycle for a service small businesses genuinely need but are wary of handing over — from first call to signed engagement.
Selling an outsourced back office is not a features conversation. It is a trust conversation with an owner who has been burned before, or who has never let anyone near their books.
You would run the cycle end to end: discovery, scoping the actual work, pricing it honestly, and closing. There is no SDR handing you qualified leads and no playbook you are inheriting — you would be helping write it.
We are early. That means the pipeline is not built yet, and it also means the first person in this seat shapes how DeskFlow sells for a long time.
What you would do
- Run discovery calls that surface what a business's back office actually costs them today
- Scope engagements accurately with the delivery team, so what gets sold is what gets delivered
- Own the cycle from first conversation to signature, including pricing conversations
- Build and work outbound pipeline, not just inbound
- Feed what you hear back into positioning, pricing, and the product roadmap
What we are looking for
- Closed B2B deals to small-business owners or their finance leads
- Comfortable owning pipeline generation, not only working inbound
- Can talk credibly about bookkeeping, payroll, and operations without pretending to be an accountant
- Honest in the room — this role is easy to do badly by overselling, and overselling is expensive for us
- Authorized to work in the United States
Nice to have, genuinely optional
- Sold professional services, outsourced operations, or fractional finance
- Early-stage experience where you built the process rather than followed it
- Familiar with HubSpot
