Is there a long-term contract?

No contract. The first three months include a weekly tuning call with your lead to dial in workflows — that's why we ask for a 3-month start. After that, month-to-month with 30 days' notice.

Can I switch tiers later?

Yes. Tier changes take effect at the start of the next monthly billing cycle. No re-onboarding fee for tier changes.

What does onboarding look like?

Workflow documentation, access setup across your stack, and a 10 business day parallel cycle alongside your existing process so nothing breaks during handoff. Onboarding is included in your first month — no separate setup fee.

What if I need only one service?

Our tiers bundle services intentionally — single-service engagements aren't offered. The Basic tier is the lightest entry point if you only need core admin.

Anything requiring an in-person presence (mail handling, physical filing, on-site coverage). We're fully remote. We also don't provide tax prep or legal advice — your CPA and lawyer stay separate.

How does pricing change if my team grows?

Each tier has a soft headcount ceiling shown on the pricing card (e.g., Standard fits up to 8 people, Professional up to 15). Below the ceiling, pricing is flat. If you grow past it, we discuss a tier change at quarterly review — never mid-cycle.

What if we have more than one entity, or payroll in more states?

Every self-serve plan covers one legal entity, and payroll in one state on the plans that include payroll. Running more than that is priced, not refused: additional entities are $400/mo each (from Standard, where bookkeeping starts) and additional payroll states are $125/mo each (from Professional, where payroll starts). You tell us your counts at signup and can change them any time from your billing page — nothing is ever gated or switched off.

Do you offer custom plans?

For organizations beyond Premium — 40+ people, multi-entity, a dedicated account lead, a guaranteed 1-hour first response SLA — we offer Premium Plus (see the card directly below the four-tier grid). For everyone else, the four tiered plans are the simplest path: pick what fits today and switch any time.

When should I pick Premium Plus over Premium?

Premium fits established teams up to ~40 people sharing a dedicated DeskFlow pod — real back-office execution, without a named executive relationship. Premium Plus is built for when the back office needs to run like it has its own operator: (1) a single named account lead instead of a shared pod, (2) a guaranteed 1-hour first response on urgent items, (3) custom KPI reporting, built with your operator and tied to your business, (4) multi-entity or multi-state payroll complexity, or (5) ongoing hiring momentum where "one active role at a time" isn't enough. A fractional COO alone typically runs $5,000-$12,000/mo before any of the execution work gets done; Premium Plus folds that level of ownership into the retainer. If two or more of the above apply, Plus pays for itself.

What if my operator isn't the right fit?

Tell us and we'll assign you a different lead — no fee, no repeat onboarding, and your term doesn't restart. We don't rotate your team on our own; the only person who changes it is you.

What's your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

After the first 3 months, cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. We hand back full documentation of your workflows, financial state, and access so you (or your next team) can pick up seamlessly.

Are there any hidden fees?

None. The retainer covers everything in your tier, including onboarding, for the scope on your plan — extra legal entities and extra payroll states are the two things priced separately, and both are published above rather than discovered later. Software you bring (QuickBooks, Gusto, etc.) is billed by those vendors directly — we don't mark anything up.

Do you offer a discount for annual prepay?

Yes — 15% off when billed annually, on any tier. Annual is the default on the cards above; toggle Monthly to compare. Same retainer, same scope, just paid up front.
